Creating a new, more personal, sub-brand for Green People CV.
Working with my (partnered) design company – burst* – Green People founder Charlotte Vøhtz asked us to create a brand that would become the new identity of the Age Defy+ range.
Being in control of the design and the artwork means I have all the assets to quickly visualise the product and packaging for marketing and e-commerce use.
With the branding created and approved I was able to craft the artwork for print on the labels and cartons, creating balanced layouts that consistently appled the branding on all formats.
Because we have all the assets and understand how the brand is applied we can easily use this to create 3D visuals to appreciate how the range lines up, balances and looks best.
3D CGI Visual:
Within Blender the carton was constructed flat and folded virtually and the 2D artwork was applied as an image texture. The glass pot and lid were modelled and textured and the label applied. Blender has great control within the texture nodes to get the detail right, including the foil effects and embossing on the logo.
Using HDRi lighting with replicated studio lights it is easy to create a product portfolio shot. Once modelled the assets can be rotated, duplicated, scaled and the image textures changed so a range lineup is easy to visualise.
Future range extensions can easily be added and as the setup is already done renders will have exactly the same look every time you need. Also, any design updates, requiring a new image or re-render are quicker and cheaper.
